The Ministry has five departments. The departments answer for preparing key tasks concerning
- social and health care
- social protection
- gender equality, and
- health and safety at work
as well as for managing and coordinating the practical work. The Ministry has also special units.
There are a number of advisory committees and boards in the administrative sector of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health.
Also the Ombudsman for Children and the Ombudsman for Equality
work in connection with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health.
