Preparedness for an A(H1N1)v influenza epidemic (swine flu)

The A(H1N1)v flu virus has also reached Finland. The situation has been prepared for well and people have no cause for alarm. The authorities are closely monitoring the situation.

The MSAH and the National Institute for Health and Welfare are working closely with the EU Commission and the European centre for Disease Control. EU authorities are coordinating the measures taken by member states and are issuing up to date situation reports, including in daily phone conferencing with national representatives.
